Lead Generation – Collecting information from an interested prospective buyer.

A lead is generated from a submitted contact form or phone call. Many companies merely sell leads to other companies by doing their own internet marketing. A price per lead can vary greatly depending on numerous factors such as how targeted that customer is to the client buying the lead, the cost of the transaction if that lead closes and also if that lead is being sold to multiple companies in the same industry, at the same time. All are ethical as long as the customer knows the price up front and whether or not that lead is going to other companies at the same time. This should be disclosed to the customer prior to purchasing leads.
